The Classic Whiskey Sour

This indeed is a classic cocktail. Bourbon, by definition, is a strong, stiff spirit distilled from grain and corn. Done as a sour (a class of basic cocktails involving sweet and sour), the bourbon is softened a bit with sweetness brought forward. This is great for non whiskey drinkers as an entry bourbon drink and veteran whiskey drinkers that enjoy a little somethin’ different!

In a mix can:

  • Ice
  • 2 oz Bourbon
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • 3/4 oz simple syrup

Pop the lid on and shake vigorously for at least 30 seconds. Strain into a rocks glass full of ice and garnish with Luxardo cherries and an expressed lemon peel.

This drink can be done Up as well!

Same as above except add a dash of egg white. Double strain into a martini glass and float dash of angostura bitters.
