The Classic Bloody Mary

If you want a “healthy” cocktail, this is as close as it gets. No, seriously hear me out before you close this window. It’s got all the goodies you find in tomato juice: Lycopene, Vitamin C, electrolytes. And depending on the ingredients you use, you can get this up to healthy juice-bar quality! Here’s a basic one to get you going:

In a collins glass filled with ice:

  • 3 oz tomato juice.
  • 2 oz vodka.
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce.
  • 3/4 tsp freshly grated horseradish.
  • 3 dashes Tabasco.
  • 1-2 pinches celery salt.
  • 1 dash freshly ground black pepper.
